The demand for car rentals in Dubai continues to grow as more and more tourists visit Dubai. If it is your first time in Dubai and you need a car rental service, there are some things you need to know beforehand. We will discuss them in this article.
· Be aware of the insurance policy
It is a must to know the company’s insurance policy, especially if unfortunate events arise such as damaged or lost cars.
· Make sure you don’t take the car outside the United Arab Emirates
The rented car should be used in UAE territory only. You should not take them outside the UAE, or you will be in trouble. Should you wish to take the car outside the UAE, you have to secure the necessary permissions, so you will not break the rules.
· Make sure you hold a valid driver’s license
It is a big NO to drive a car without a driver’s license, especially if you are in the UAE. Therefore, you need to have a valid UAE driving license. It would be a plus if you have an international driving license or international driving permit. It is accepted in Dubai.
· Security deposit
The majority of car rental companies in Dubai will ask for a security deposit, and they accept major credit cards. They will not release the unit to you without a security deposit.
· Minimum age limit
The person renting the car should provide proof of identification and it should indicate the client’s age. In Dubai, you need to be at least 25 years old before you will be allowed to rent a car.
Car rental services in Dubai are in-demand, but not all can avail of them. There are qualifications and you needed to meet these criteria or else the car will not be released to you.
